Melbourne: Wednesday 20th March 2024
Sydney: Friday 22nd March 2024

Overview

The Department of Industry, Science and Resources and our broader portfolio are integral to the Australian Government’s economic agenda. Our purpose is to help the government build a better future for all Australians through enabling a productive, resilient and sustainable economy, enriched by science and technology.

The Graduate Development Program is a structured 12-month program for those who have graduated university and completed a minimum of a three-year undergraduate degree within the past 5 years. Graduates begin the program working full-time at the APS4 level, undertake 3 rotations across different divisions/business areas and participate in several learning and development activities. Following the successful completion of the program, Graduates advance to the APS5 level.

The Department of Industry, Science and Resources Graduate Development Program gives you an opportunity to grow the skills you’ve gained during university through work that directly impacts the Australian community.

We are many policy areas, industries and careers rolled into one department. Our breadth of work offers endless pathways to grow your career, skills and experience.

Whether you’re passionate about science, technology, innovation, resources, or any other policy area in our diverse portfolio, the scope of topics you can work on can’t be matched anywhere else.
